Creating water jet cutting paths with TracTrix

Are you faced with the problem where your customers come to you with paper sketches, film or scans of logos or other 2D parts and want you to deliver a part from your water jet? Or have they come to you with a sample for which you must cut a 2D duplicate yesterday?

Many water jet users, who are used to getting clean CAD files, give up immediately and leave it to their customers to figure out how to deliver a useable CAD file for their cutting software. If an actual sample part is delivered for you to replicate or make mating parts for, it is a simple task to manually trace around the edge of the part to be copied, scan the tracing and use TracTrix to create a CAD file that can be edited to perfection for your water jet. The CAD file can also be used in whatever nesting program your water jet program may have.
