The growth in sporting activities and tangible rewards for
excelling in business and personalized gift giving has
generated a demand for awards, plaques, desk pieces and
other engraved items. Many trophy shops use stock designs and lettering fonts in standard pantograph and engraving machines. Many others use a bit of creativity to differentiate their trophies from run-of-the-mill designs. These creative shops use lasers, water jet cutting, abrasive blasting and other unique stock removal techniques. Many of these shops also design and cut unique and intricate patterns for laser/water jet cutting in wood. |
The creative trophy shop uses TracTrix to
automatically convert raster scans of paper designs into
vector files for use in their CAD software. The files are
edited to the desired scale and design and exported to the
NC program to drive the machine tool or laser/water jet
cutter. |
