Creating stencil cutting paths with TracTrix

Are you faced with the problem where your customers come to you with paper sketches, film or scans of logos or other 2D parts and want you to deliver a new stencil? Or have they come to you with a sample for which you must cut a stencil yesterday? Is time to market an issue in your stencil business?

Many stencil cutters, who are used to getting clean CAD files, give up immediately and leave it to their customers to figure out how to deliver a useable CAD file for the stencil cutting software. Is this a cause of ‘opportunities lost’ because you thought that it was too difficult or cumbersome to achieve? Did you lose a potential customer or stencil job because you didn’t have a solution?

If your potential customers can deliver scans of paper or of actual parts, TracTrix can convert them to useable CAD files for you to produce stencils. If sketches, film or paper drawings are delivered they can be scanned and TracTrix can convert them to useable CAD.

If an actual sample stencil is delivered for you to replicate , it is a simple task to manually trace around the edge of the part to be copied, scan the tracing and use TracTrix to create a CAD file that can be edited to perfection for stencil cutting.

TracTrix can help you to capture opportunities or help create them by employing this new tool.
