Old buildings were designed and drawings crafted by hand
on drafting boards. All of the design and infrastructure
information is in a non-CAD form The problem is how to take
the paper information into CAD for modification and retrofit
design of additions, piping, electrical wiring, handicapped
accessibility, etc. To achieve this the drawings are scanned on a large format scanner to a raster file. TracTrix uses the raster to automatically create vectors for use in CAD software. |
