Creating plasma cutting paths with TracTrix

Are you faced with the problem where your customers come to you with paper sketches, film or scans of logos or other 2D parts and want you to deliver a plasma cut part? Or have they come to you with an actual sample for which you must burn a 2D duplicate yesterday?

Many plasma arc shops, used to getting clean CAD files, give up immediately and leave it to their customers to figure out how to deliver a useable CAD file for the plasma arc software. If an actual sample is delivered for you to replicate or make mating parts for, it is a simple task to manually trace around the edge of the part to be copied, scan the tracing and TracTrix will create a CAD file that can be edited to perfection for your plasma arc machine. The CAD file can also be used in whatever nesting program your plasma arc program may have.
