As buildings and elevators age, they must be replaced or
overhauled. Few of these old installations are in any form
of CAD system. Only old and difficult to read prints or
drawings are available although new work is designed in
CAD. The problem is how to capture printed information in a CAD software. Timely proposals and estimates often decide what elevator company gets the construction job. |
To achieve this all of the old building
and elevator shaft prints are scanned as rasters and
automatically converted to vectors in TracTrix. The
resultant vectors are taken into the users CAD software for
editing to scale and to reflect present as built
condition. After editing, the new construction is easily designed and details added. This results in much faster estimates, proposals and contract awards. |
