Fitting out interiors of airframes requires
detailed information about the interior of the aircraft and the equipment
to be installed. The aircraft and the equipment may have been designed in
CAD but the CAD files are not always available to the outfitter. The problem is how to take the paper drawings into CAD to evaluate form and fit, make appropriate corrections and create final assembly instruction drawings. |
All of the interface drawings are scanned
as raster files and taken into TracTrix for automatic
conversion into vectors. The files are exported to the
fitter's CAD software for form and fit evaluation. Interferences are noted, corrected and installation drawings created in CAD for final assembly. |
