Trix Organizer
- Modules Each
Module provides a
specific functionality. Only the core Server module is required. The
rest are add-ons. Our system consultants will recommend Modules after
they have studied your needs. |
|
|
 |
Server Module (required)
This is the basic
Trix
Organizer server which is a fully functional document management
system in its own right. |

Workflow
and Task Management
Module
Set process status tags to control access to, and editing of, documents
based upon their status is your workflow.
The module is customized to reflect your rules and
processes.

External
Access Module
A Web
client that gives
vendors, contractors and customers access to limited sets of drawings
and documents.
Post announcements, subscribe to automatic notifications
when changes are made to a document, manage mailing distribution lists
and solicit pre-approval feedback. |
| |
|
| |
 |
Project Module
The Project
Module enables large groups of
documents to be assigned to Project and Sub-Project structures for the
duration of finite projects.
Documents are checked out from the
main archive to projects or created as new documents in the project. The
advantage is that while smaller quantities of documents can easily be
checked out or edited from the regular Trix Organizer tree, larger
projects involving very many documents are more easily managed in their
own tree structure. This also enables easier management of temporary
access rights that are made available to contractors.
When a project is complete documents
are returned to the main archive in 'as-built' or 'as manufactured'
form. |

Notification Module
A TO User with a Notification Module has the
ability to subscribe to emailed change notifications for either a single
document or the documents in an entire folder object. They can do this
by right mouse clicking on the document or object and selecting
‘Notifications’. The user can select the frequency with which they
receive notifications (e.g. hourly, daily, immediate) and the type of
changes to be notified (e.g. redline, metadata, version, file edit,
all).
A tab named In-Box
is available to Notification Module users. Clicking on this tab reveals
a history of changes made to the documents in the user’s subscription.
At the set interval TO will send all the most recent changes in this
list to the user’s email. |

 |
Rendering
Utilities Module
Converts
original documents, to raster or PDF images
for distribution.
By distributing raster
images instead of CAD files your intellectual property is protected and
there is no chance of recipients making CAD edits. |

| |
 |
Facilities Management
Module
Links documents
directly to assets and equipment records in FM Systems.
Icons
representing specific asset types (fire extinguishers, printers, etc.)
float over floor plans to show locations. Clicking on an icon brings up
its FM records for viewing or editing.
This module can use an internal Trix
Organizer symbol library or be linked to an external FM database using
the Trix Organizer data exchange API. |
| |
|
|
|
 |
Dynamic View Module
Automatically collects
individual documents into an assembly tree depicting the documents
associated with a building, project or piece of equipment. |
|
|
|
|
|
 |
Component Management
Module
This enables
documents to be linked to equipment identification data and vice
versa. Users can see both a list of equipment
or parts that relates to a
document and a list of documents that relate to a piece of equipment.
Equipment lists can be organized in a tree structure similar to the
document organization tree. |

|
|
 |
Document Structure
Module
Tracks document
interdependencies and sub-documents. Provides alerts of consequences of
changes. Enables you to build digital 'binders' of documents. |
|
|
|
|
|
 |
Drawing Numbering
Module
Enforces naming and numbering
conventions for the creation of new drawings and the import of existing
drawings. Automatically populates number field using any required
sequential numbering protocols. |

Trix
Organizer
Personal
Client
Trix
Organizer application to run off-line on laptops for use in the field.
Required documents are checked out into the subsidiary database, then
uploaded and synchronized upon return.
The application uses the same interface as a
regular on-line or networked Trix Organizer client. The set of documents
that have been checked out from the Trix Organizer server are available
for editing and markup while on the laptop. The documents appear as
checked out to users of the master Trix Organizer so they can't be
edited but they can still be viewed. |
